The first painting I ever did for me in 28 years!

In 2019 Ben and I bought our first house together. It was hard to believe that after painting all of my life or more professionally that I had never painted something for me. Crazy right.

My business was and still is built on commission pieces which means the colour and story are shaped around the clients needs to ensure it fits with their space.

Still to this day it is everybody’s most favourite and loved piece of mine. When I’m in the early phases of yarning to people about what inspiration I have to go off, they always show me this one without fail.

I think that’s really nice and made me realise that I should paint more paintings for me.

There was a point in time where I thought that I should do it as a print, so other people had access to it but then I decided to just keep something for me.
