Yarning to the Diamond Spirit Program

Thank you to Cairns State High School for inviting Jedess to come and speak to the Diamond Spirit  Powerful Young Women program.

The Diamond Spirit program aims to strengthen their wellbeing, confidence, and in turn the students own perceptions of what they can achieve.

Jedess gave an insight into her high school life at Cairns High and life after uni and projects she's been involved in.

Some things to not forget:

- Continually maintain your cultural connection in whichever form that may be: art, dance, sport, song, writing, language etc.

- Connect with your elders for they are the backbone of your identity.
Learn their stories and messages they shape your perspective.

What an incredible bunch of up-and-coming Indigenous women we have in our community
