Cici Cocoon Cape: Thermal Clay (Kambar)

$150.00

Fabric story: "Kambar" Thermal Clay

On our Ewamian country we have numerous hot thermal pools connected in underground channels. These pools of water are boiling hot and our ancestors not only utilised them to cook meat but heated up the basalt volcanic rock for hot stone healing. These springs have many medicinal properties and produce a white clay like powder when mixed with water. We also use our "Kambar" - Thermal Clay to paint up for ceremonies and significant cultural moments.
