As part of the new pontoon project with Reef Magic, we recently rebranded the Australian owned and operated Reef Magic with an updated and modern look, implementing artwork from local Indigenous artist, Jedess Hudson of Ewamian and Western Yalanji descent.

A locally based Cairns design firm, Bang Media undertook the project, and brought our vision to life. Reef Magic is run by a small team of local experts, passionate marine lovers who live to share the reef. Operating since 1997, with the mission of sharing the dynamic underwater beauty of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

The new branding implements a colour palette inspired by the sky, ocean and coral, with coral inset in the new logo. Indigenous artist Jedess added her creative flourish to the brand with Indigenous iconography.

Local design company Bang Media created a pattern inspired by the Humped Wrasse fish, a local to Moore Reef where the new Reef Magic pontoon, Remoora will be moored. Along with the logo, the new website, Reef Magic launched, in February complete with the new branding.

After 18 years of fantastic service, the old pontoon, Marine World has been retired and removed from the its moorings at Moore Reef. The new, state of the art pontoon will be transported to Moore Reef in early April, where guests will be able to enjoy a range of activities.
